Easter week is a busy time with family get-togethers, spring activities, etc., but in the middle of all that, it’s a great time to take a step back and remember what Easter is all about. Palm Sunday – Join us as we kick off Easter week with CFBC on March 29th at 10:30 AM at the Cohen Complex in Chester for a special community service to celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Then, stick around for a free lunch, followed by a helicopter egg drop for all the kids—a fun event you won’t want to miss! Bring your family, bring a friend, and let’s all come together for an incredible morning!

Maundy Thursday – Join us for a special evening of remembrance on April 2nd at 6:30 pm as we come together to commemorate the night Jesus had His last meal with His disciples, and how He was pointing us towards His impending sacrifice for us. This special evening of worship, communion, and a brief message will allow us to take some time to reflect and remember the essence of the gospel. We would love for you to be there.

Good Friday – We invite you to join us on April 3rd at 7:00 PM at Grace Church (2100 State St.) as CFBC unites with other churches in the area to experience a moving evening of praise. We’ll look back on the tremendous offering Jesus made on our behalf—and the way this changes everything! We’ll assemble at Grace Church as one Church body to observe this significant part of the Easter journey.

Sunrise Service – There is just something special about celebrating Easter morning as the sun is rising! Come join us at 6 AM at Chester Evergreen Cemetery, right next to Motomart, as we worship and study scripture as we focus on the hope of the resurrection! After the service, go to Chester First Baptist Church at 7-8 AM, in the dining area, for a FREE breakfast! Come early, celebrate Jesus, and kick off your Easter Sunday in the best way possible! In the event of bad weather, we will meet in the sanctuary at Chester First Baptist Church, 719 State St., Chester, IL 62233.

Easter Sunday – We’re offering two options for you and your family to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with us! Join us at 8 AM or 10:30 AM. Pick the time that best suits your morning! Can’t make it to church? That’s okay! We’re going live on Facebook & YouTube at 10:30 AM. Join us there and be part of the celebration! We’d love to celebrate Easter with you!
