Connect Groups

Your faith journey was never intended to be a solo mission. Helping people grow in their faith is one the reasons God set up this Community Church in 1937. CONNECT GROUPS are where you learn more about God, His Word, and each other.

The CONNECT GROUP comes together at CFBC at 6:00 PM on Wednesday nights*. Join others on the same faith journey as you, while making lasting and meaningful relationships with other people. Get directions to the discussion HERE! (Click Here)

Connect Group

New study The Battle Plan For Prayer: From Basic Training to Targeted Strategies. Inspired by the Kendrick Brothers’ movie, War Room, this exciting new resource from the #1 best-selling author team behind The Love Dare and The Resolution for Men is designed to help anyone learn how to become a powerful person of prayer. The Battle Plan for Prayer begins with prayer’s core purpose, its biblical design, and its impact throughout history. Readers will be guided scripturally through the fundamentals of how effective prayer works, inspired towards a closer, more intimate relationship with God, and shown how to develop specific prayer strategies for each area of life. Prayer can accomplish what a willing God can accomplish. It should be your first plan of attack in all of life’s battles, not your last resort. If you want to experience the joy of mightily answered prayer, then it’s time to engage with God at another level.

This group meets on Wednesdays; see the schedule at the bottom of the page.

Connect 4 Kids

Connect 4 Kids is for 2-year-olds to 5th graders. During their time together, they hang out with other kids, play games, learn lessons from the Bible, sing songs, and enjoy a snack together. This ministry is led by Pam Fogerson, who has over twenty years of experience in teaching at the K-8 level. This ministry will meet at the same time as Connect Groups, view the schedule at the bottom of the page.

Connect For Youth

Connect For Youth is for grades 6th-12th. Their new study is called Sharing Jesus Without Freaking Out. What if talking about your faith felt as natural as discussing your family, your work, or your hobbies? Evangelism doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. You’re under no pressure to prove anything. It really just amounts to having a conversation, and almost any context provides the opportunity for evangelism. You can spot these opportunities when you listen, because people talk about what’s important to them. So think of evangelism as building a relationship with someone and intentionally planning to share Jesus as a part of everyday living. Sharing Jesus without Freaking Out, Second Edition is not a comprehensive theology of evangelism or the methods by which that theological message is communicated. The goal of the book is simply to show what evangelism looks like when it’s part of ordinary, everyday conversations. Sharing Jesus with others isn’t a mystery, and it can be as natural as working a job, practicing a favorite hobby, or engaging in any other kind of daily activity. The authors show how anyone can make sharing the gospel a commonplace part of their lifestyle. Without all the freaking out part. View the schedule below!
